Billabong Hobby Farm is situated on fifteen acres in Buxton, at the northern edge of the NSW Southern Highlands. It’s a beautiful spot. We have lived here for over thirty years and have always shared our home with a wide variety of animals, large and small. From cows and donkeys to sheep and goats and a variety of pets and poultry. All of which have been kept safe by our magnificent Maremma stock guardian dogs.
Our primary focus has been living a healthy natural lifestyle and producing much of our fresh food. We have chickens and ducks for eggs, a beautiful jersey cow and some goats for milk, cheese and other dairy products, fresh homegrown fruit and vegetables, and as much honey as we need from our beehives.
Recently we have added the breeding of Valais Blacknose Sheep and Nigerian Dwarf goats to the mix.
As always, there is much to learn and more to do around the place.
